Becoming a professional racer1/21/2024 ![]() ![]() But I recently realized that I had made racing a job, and I needed to make an adjustment to keep that passion alive. When I first started, I raced for the love of it. So I thought, what if I gave a little bit more to myself than to everybody else? Can I still achieve the same amount of success? It wasn’t appreciated, and it wasn’t reciprocated. I'd give everything-every hour, every off time, 18 hours a day-to build my team, myself, and our partners. I felt that a lot of my efforts weren't reaping the results that I wanted. ![]() What caused the shift in your goals and definition of success? Success in my mind is never stagnant as long as your goals are constantly evolving. Or I could race for 20 years of my life until I win my first national event and feel like the most accomplished person. I could go out there and and get disappointed and not feel successful. I think success is measured by your own personal feeling of accomplishment. ![]()
